Ingredients
1. Teriyaki
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey or agave
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp onion powder
2. Asian
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin (japanese rice wine)
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 pinch cayenne
3. Thai
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp fish sauce or vegan/vegetarian equivalent
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 Thai red chilli, chopped finely
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
4. BBQ
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey or agave
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp hot chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 dash of liquid smoke
5. Moroccan
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp agave or brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp turmeric
6. Chicken substitute
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp dried sage
7. Mexican
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp agave
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 2 tsp hot chilli powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients in a shallow bowl and drop your freshly-pressed tofu in. You'll see the marinade disappear within minutes as the tofu soaks it up!
